SOCKET BLUETOOTH SERIAL ADAPTER, DB9M
The Socket Bluetooth Serial Adapter eliminates conventional RS232 serial cables through Bluetooth wireless technology. This small adapter has a Class 2 Bluetooth radio with a range up to 10 meters/30 feet and an integrated antenna. The Bluetooth Serial Adapter enables a device with a standard 9-pin serial port to communicate with another Bluetooth Serial Adapter or other Bluetooth enabled device. Using this Adapter couldn't be easier because no drivers are necessary-just plug it in and your device connects cordlessly!
Using a Bluetooth Serial Adapter pair, replace the standard RS-232 cable between your laptop and printer with a wireless Bluetooth connection. The Adapter adds Bluetooth wireless technology to industrial equipment which can be controlled and monitored by a Bluetooth enabled Windows system. Included in the package is an AC adapter which powers the Bluetooth Serial Adapter, a 9-pin female/female null modem connector and a CD with the configuration utility and documentation.
The Bluetooth Serial Adapter Configuration Utility is an easy-to-use application, which lets you reprogram many of the default settings on your Adapter. It also enables you to set up connections and designate whether an Adapter is in Acceptor or Initiator mode. The utility runs under Windows 98SE/Me/2K/XP. You can also program the Bluetooth Serial Adapter manually through AT commands via a terminal device. The Socket Cordless Serial Command Set User's Guide, located on the installation CD, provides extensive options for custom configurations.
